Burning Barn Films are a UK-based, non-profit making organisation, providing an opportunity for people from within the local community to gain filmmaking experience. We aim to develop a core of collaborators to push their own creative boundaries and make film projects that will each be more ambitious than the previous one.
Formed by Jim Glaister in 2009, Burning Barn's first two films, The Visitor and The Visitor II, were both shot in and around Winchester during 2010, utilising the city's rich seam of creative talent. The films were supported by the Open Lens Award, a scheme run by Southampton-based filmmaking charity City Eye. Since then, Burning Barn Films have continued to make short film projects for competitions and festivals, as well as run workshops on filmmaking techniques.
